The other cluster is The Outback Advantage which includes many small schools throughout western Queensland with the cluster collaborating, designing and implementing quality programs focussing on quality teaching and student outcomes in small school settings.
The student community consist of students whose interests are closely related to their environment. With varying strengths and interests, our motivated students inspire each other and are supported by the school community to aim and achieve highly in all aspects of their development.
Particular features of the school include two buildings - one is currently used as a classroom and office and the other as a Library and classroom/flexible learning space. There is a large undercover marked court area for a variety of sports and other covered play areas throughout the school grounds including sandpits and climbing frames. The school has a large oval with AFL goalposts installed. Swimming lessons are conducted at the local Shire pool nearby. Students and staff take great pride in our school an its welcoming environment. Our attractive grounds are carefully maintained, supported by an efficient watering system that helps conserve precious water resources. We are also excited about plans to re-establish our school orchard, creating opportunities for students to learn about sustainability, food production and caring for the land. At Jundah State School, we honour our past while looking confidently toward the future, continuing to live our motto: Strive to Succeed.
