Welcome to the Jundah State School website and thank you for providing us with the opportunity to share some aspects of our school with you.
Jundah State School was first opened in 1900 and has seen many changes in education and society over the years; however, during this time a successful school has been created, a school that has a strong focus on developing each learner in a challenging yet supportive environment.
We are an undoubtedly unique small school, where every child is known and valued. Our school is a place where students’ individual strengths are nurtured and developed through differentiation and individualised learning programs. Our vision, ‘A shared commitment to deliver quality curriculum, through highly effective practises, to ensure continuous improvement in student achievement’, in conjunction with our schools’ motto, ‘To strive is to succeed’ represents our focus on achievement and high standards.
Our staff are committed to continually improving their teaching practise and using their expertise to develop and provide balanced and engaging opportunities to extend all aspects of students’ learning; intellectual, physical, social and emotional.
Students, staff, parents and community members are encouraged to participate in all aspects of school life and in the decisions of the school. A sense of community is fundamental to who we are and we encourage community involvement and work very closely with the school Parents and Citizens Association to provide quality education to our students.
I am very proud to be the Principal of Jundah State School leading a committed and professional staff who both challenge and nurture the students in their care.
